Today, the Kosovo Corruption Prevention Agency held a special event to present the results achieved and to honor its 2023 partners. This meeting brought together representatives from international organizations, civil society, media and members of the Agency.

In his presentation, director Yll Buleshkaj lists some of the main achievements of the Agency for 2023, as follows:

Conflict of interest: Over 180 trained responsible officials, 296 cases initiated, 260 completed through decisions, opinions and case closures.

Asset declaration: About 170 contact officers have been trained, over 10,890 declarations received electronically, marking a significant improvement in the transparency of public officials.

Whistleblowing: About 119 officers responsible for internal whistleblowing trained, 19 cases received and dealt with according to the law.

Integrity and Strategy: About 95 Responsible Officials trained, institutions engaged in drafting integrity plans, and valuable comments were provided.

Anti-corruption evaluation: 66 cases addressed, most of which have been forwarded to the State Prosecutor’s Office, and a draft opinion regarding the corruption evaluation of the given law.

Public Procurement: 206 irregularities identified and addressed through recommendations and legal advice.

After the director’s speech, the event moved to recognizing the contribution of partners who played an important role in the success of APK.

Representatives of the OSCE, UNDP, Council of Europe and several civil society organizations were recognized for their contributions, ranging from supporting the electronic asset declaration system to promoting reporting mechanisms and raising awareness among non-majority communities.

Two members of the Agency were also recognized for their outstanding efforts in the implementation of IT in the work of the Agency and their legal expertise.
